BMW X3 E83 FLEX DISC GUIBO, DRIVESHAFT CENTER SUPPORT BEARING
We took this video to show you how to replace the Flex Disc or also know as Guibo on a BMW X3 E83. It will be the same procedure from 2004 to 2010. We also, replaced the center bearing because it was causing vibrations under acceleration.
If your BMW have vibrations when accelerating or going downhill most likely it is either the Guibo (flex disc), or the center bearing, or the driveshaft itself. We replaced it without removing the exhaust because the nuts were very rusty and welded from all the heat since the vehicle has 160,000 miles. You will be able to replace the guibo and the center bearing by just dropping the exhaust and without removing it.
It is more convenient if you remove it.
We purchased the parts on eBay. They are made in Germany at very affordable prices.
It should be the same or very close for all BMW X3 E83 models, gas or diesel. So it should cover the 2.0 the 2.5 and 3.0 engine also the 2.0d and 3.0d. This video might be helpful on:
