BMW X3 E83 HOW TO FIX VIBRATIONS
We took this video to show you one of the reasons why you might feel vibration in your BMW. The vehicle in this video is a BMW x3 E83. However, most of the BMWs including the e46 run into a problem like this. If you feel vibrations when accelerating or decelerating, there are a few things that could cause that:
1. Engine Mounts
2. Bad Guibo /flex disc
3. Bad center drive shaft support bearing
4. Bad Drive shaft
By dropping the exhaust you can check the guibo, the center bearing and the driveshaft. We have the video on our channel and the website.
If all of the mentioned above are good, then you most likely have a bad engine mount.
We showed in the video how bad the driver side and the passenger side engine mounts were. They pretty much fell apart.
When replacing them we recommend using German mounts because it is a time consuming job and you do not want to change them very often. The ones that we have in the video were factory and they had about 162,000 miles on them.
